Last Sunday (3rd October), Chelmsford Dance Centre proudly hosted another of our ever-popular Members’ Tea Dances – and what a truly wonderful afternoon it was! The studio was absolutely buzzing with excitement and filled with a packed crowd of members, friends, and familiar faces all ready to enjoy a few hours of great dancing, warm company, and, of course, plenty of tea and biscuits.

From the very first dance, the atmosphere was one of pure joy and togetherness. Whether you were a seasoned dancer or someone simply enjoying the music and movement, it was lovely to see so many people sharing the floor and celebrating the simple pleasure of dance. The playlist featured a wonderful mix of ballroom and Latin favourites, all carefully chosen to suit every taste and ability, ensuring there was something for everyone throughout the afternoon.

No English Tea Dance would be complete without the all-important refreshments, and we are immensely grateful to our wonderful team who kept the tea flowing and the biscuit tins full. A huge thank you goes to Zara, our Chief Tea Maker for the day, and to her brilliant helpers Shauna and Laura, whose smiles and efficiency ensured everyone was well looked after. Their hard work behind the scenes helped to make the afternoon extra special for all in attendance.

 

Of course, for those who fancied something a little stronger, the bar was open and well-stocked, offering a relaxing tipple for anyone wanting to toast a great afternoon’s dancing. The combination of great music, good company, and delicious refreshments created a truly uplifting and sociable atmosphere – a real reminder of what our dance community is all about.

It was wonderful to see so many members come together to celebrate the joy of dance in such a friendly and welcoming environment. These events are at the heart of what we do, giving everyone the chance to relax, socialise, and share their love of dancing in a warm and supportive setting.
